Review from
Pattaya Rag, Oct 2007: Massive Stable
Amazing Paradise Bar has a massive stable of girls and flat screen
TVs. Not sure which there was more of....
The majority of lookers were pulling punters in from the street and
sadly that's what they continued to do once we were in the bar.
Company in the bar was provided by a more mature group of ladies. We
managed to grab the sofas by the entrance and it was a good vantage
point for watching the girls out front and the girls passing by.
Don't want to appear fussy but I would rate only 3 or 4 of the
girls as being worthy of my dosh.

Jan 2010: One of the Better Open Bars
A busy bar and so are a few of the bars either side of it. It has
quite a few girls in the bar, probably around 20, some good lookers
amongst them. A no hassle bar in terms of lady drinks .
Good afternoon happy hour prices, but the place doesn't really come
alive until the evening when the girls come on duty. Happy hour
prices 45 Baht for bottle of Singha.
One of the better open air bars in town.
Review from
Pattaya-Live
May 2008: Good prices and friendly girls
The girls there are always friendly and enjoy just playing the
games and trying to entice a farang to take them home. They are
however choosy and the mama does not pressure them to leave with
anyone. Good prices and friendly girls what more is there to ask
for?
Review July 2006:
Watching Out For Own Goals
I randomly selected the bar for a bit of World Cup viewing. I chatted
a while to a friendly Australian but he departed in search of an
Australian Rules football match rather than the World Cup.
England were being a little boring so I opted for a bit of people
watching. The girls seemed to be enjoying themselves watching the game,
chatting or playing the dice game behind the bar. They were a distinctly
average crew but there were four decent looking girls that were posted
as welcome girls.
I spent some time looking out for some potential customers to walk
past and to be 'welcomed in'. I was wondering whether the attractive
welcome girls would pair off with the newcomer or whether the newcomer
would just be dumped with the average girls behind the bar. (And then he
would, no doubt, take one beer and leave pronto).
My theory will have to wait for another day though...there simply
were no customers to be seen. When it started raining cats & dogs
I had to abandon the research and return to the strikerless England
display.

Superlatives
I agree with the article on bar 52, it is owned by Kung and her
husband Steffano, they are fantastic, good location, I can't use
enough superlatives to describe this place.
Summer 2005:
This is one of my fav bars it is like my local away from home.
Towards the 2nd Road end of Soi 8 across from the U2 bar. Again a
mixed bag with the girls but is made up for by the friendliness of
everyone in the bar. The toilets are shared with the bar next door
and are mixed clean but will cost 5 baht. I find it a great bar for
me what counts is the staff and how friendly they are well worth a

The owner reports about the trials and tribulations of running a bar
on the Pattaya forums under the board name Hammer. The Bar complex was
redeveloped from May to July 2008. Moved to Soi Diana in September 2012.
News September 2012: A New Cherry
Citing a declining walk by trade in Soi 8 and a inclining rent, Adam
of Cherry Bar has decided to upsticks and move to Soi Diana.
So Cherry Bar is now located in the clutch of beer bars between
Megabreak Pool and Papagayo. Adam has always earned a good trade via
proactive contribution to Pattaya nightlife and Pattaya forums and
should do well in the upcoming Soi Buakhao area.
March 2006: Popular Host
Hammer seems a very popular host, many reports of useful assistance
to newbies and the bar is well established as the meeting/starting point
of many a Pattaya bar crawl. The bar seems lively and successful
enough probably assisted by visitors from PattayaTalk. Certainly
overshadows neighbouring bars.

The Dennis The Menace beer boozer is certainly cleaner and fresher
than most of its rivals in Fun Town and offers a good happy hour. Their
advertising says 'Campanologists welcome'. Yes, I had to look up the

two-week millionaires prepared to turn campanologist with very little
urging, so Dennis and his damsels should be doing OK.

Dreaming of a Dance
There are a few small tables and a pool table on one side, with the
main bar at the other end.
The hostesses were what you’d expect of any Soi 8 boozer, but the
dancers were a slightly better grade. Of the eight on hand that night,
only one was a genuine hottie, with the others ranking about a 6 or 7 on
The Ghostmeter. But even during the 10 o’clock hour, through, none
seemed particularly motivated to actually dance. During my visit, as few
as one dancer decided to actually work with rest happy to sit outside or
chat among themselves in the bar.
Beer prices were reasonable at 70 baht.

Although I do agree with a small bit there are a few idiots and low
life’s in the bar, it also has a good bunch of colourful characters
drinking there, when all the other bars are empty this place is full it
is still one of the best afternoon bars in patts. I have always had a
good time in the eagle I have been drinking there for years, only in the
afternoon though
Review from Chris, May 2006: A
Bit of Banter
I would like to add that the eagle bar was sound when I was there.
I found it the best place to chill and have a drink in the day. I
didn't take any of the girls from the bar as I knew that I probably
wouldn't have then gone back again the day after (me being bit of a
butterfly!). Just didn't want to miss out! The girls were so easy to
get on with and unlike other bars conversation went past 'take me
with you' or 'buy me lady drink' they could join in a bit of banter
as good as the English lads sat around. Brilliant bar can't wait to
see them again
March 2006:
My favorite daytime bar is definitely Eagle Bar. Singha 40 baht,
Heinie 50 baht 24/7. When I'm in the mood, sangsam coke is 40 baht.
The bargirls are generally older and hardly stunners, but a good
bunch to relax and chat with on a hot day.

ensured that I had a good time.
On my daily return they remembered my name and continued with their

The beer was cold, the prices friendly and I noticed that they were
the only bar that offered me cold face towel this trip. Last year and

Aircon bar previously By Den Deugenieta,
a Belgian bar, but changed hands in autumn 2007.
Review from Macs, Nov 2007: Cool
The been has been renamed "Mac's" and shows the Belgian, Welsh,
Aussie and Thai flags on the 2 signs.
The bar still welcomes our Belgian and Dutch visitors and expats alike,
but as a Welsh man who lived in Australia for 25 years I welcome
everyone who comes to our bar.
Still one of the few beer bars in Soi 7 or Soi 8 with glass front
doors and air conditioning, so a cool place in the hot weather.
We also now have a large LCD TV and Platinum UBC for all the
football, golf, etc.

Beer bar with restaurant and cabaret (miming lady boys and girls)
News, June 2010: Back to Soi Post
Office
Tina's Malibu Show Bar has now moved back to its original home on the
corner of 2nd Road and Soi Post Office.
Review from
Pattaya Pages, May 2008: Ladyboys in Drag
I have to say it was the most funny evening I've had for a long time,
ok so its mostly ladyboys in drag but what belly aching laughter.
The new place is well decorated out and there is plenty of room to
sit and drink-eat. They do this Tina Turner show and a few others. Some
of the real ladies that dance are also stunners.
A bottle of beer is 110 baht. I can highly recommend this to anyone
who wants to have a change from the usual bar hopping nite.
News May 2008: Moved
The bar moved from its Soi 13/2 location further north on 2nd Road in
May 2008.
December 2005:
One of my favorite bars and I enjoy the show. There was one gal there
that was just gorgeous and danced up a storm in the show. My girl said
she was no ladyboy and I had to agree as we were sitting right in front.
No guy could move like that.
November 2005:
The Malibu is an open bar and restaurant complete with cabaret style
show. The show is free and quite good although on a much smaller scale
than the big boys above. There is a mixture of real girls and
transvestites and some very good celebrity impersonators.
The
food although nothing special is OK

Singing the praise
I just thought I would take the time and trouble to sing the
praises of a small beer bar on soi 7. Did we have some fun with Na,
the owner/manager and her lovely girls.
The drinks were flowing, the girls were dancing and they weren't shy,
not in the slightest.
I would recommend to anyone whose looking for an inexpensive good

girls are a mixed bag like most bars some good some well but they are
great fun and are not to pushy for drinks and bar fines. The normal
games are played and also has a few pool tables which are very good for
Pattaya. The WC is clean and FREE. They have live music which is a
relief from my normal watering holes on Soi7/8.The band play a wide
range of stuff and one can still hear yourself speak when they are
playing. All in all a good bar to start or end the night

Dec 2008: Fish & Chips
I like it a lot but it is 50/50 sometimes good, sometimes not, by
good I mean the fish and chips cooked nicely, more fish than batter, not
too greasy, the tartar sauce is always lovely. I would settle for the
Pig but am annoyed about how unpredictable they are.
Review from

number 1. Enough said.
Review April 2007: Unwelcoming

March 2006: Refreshing Pint
I love to start the day here where I can be assured of a nice
refreshing pint.
The pub is very comfortable, and I like to sit
by the window, and do a spot of people-watching, or sit near a TV screen
and watch a few music videos or read the sport in the Bangkok Post.
The food in my experience, is always good . Full English breakfast ,
highly recommended. While most Farangs seem to order Fish and Chips,
steak and so on, I've enjoyed many great Thai meals here , Green Chicken
Curry, Stir fry Thai noodle with Pork, all good stuff, fresh, tasty, and
cheap.
Girls (staff) wear cute little blue dresses too, nice and
short!
A pint of Guinness is 160 Baht

November 2005:
AT the early hour of 8pm the bar seemed well stocked with pretty
girls. Presumably they will get depleted rapidly as the night rolls on.
Possibly the 'Premier' is a reference to the Premier League,
particularly as the bar was showing an Everton match when I visited. I
have a feeling that any fan would prefer to listen to the commentary
though, which was pretty nigh on impossible. A band playing Shadows
numbers seemed to be top of the cacophony table.

Review from Lindsay, June 2008:
Off Day
We went there for lunch last year 2007. The waitress was rude to my
wife, the pork roast I could have repaired my shoes with the rubbish and
we were the only customers there at the time and I’m not surprised if
what we were served up with is the norm.
Maybe it was our turn to have their bad experience or it was an off day
but the place isn’t cheap. I’m in the industry and I don’t bother to
complain, I just don’t go back however after having great meals at
Secrets and the French restaurant towards the end of Walking Street Le
Notte, and Sailors Bar in Soi 8 what a disappointment.
Rosie’s promotes themselves as a traditional English, Continental and
Thai food establishment so maybe they are not training their staff to
cover such a range of fare. Or as I said maybe it was an off day.
2006:
I had the fish & chips special and it was very good, at least for us

Sailor
Bar
Beer bar & restaurant
Review from Andrew, January 2012: Go Easy on the Mai Tai
I'm in the oil game, 4 on, 4 off, guess where I spend my 4 off ?
I've been using the Sailor Bar Soi 8, must be coming on 4 years.
Its got to be one of the cheapest bars in Pattaya. There is a little
restaurant at the back I use it a lot, especially if I am
entertaining a little Thai number.
There are some girls that are very nice, I suppose beauty is in
the eye of the beholder. I usually drink in here as my first stop of
the night, great meet place, its handy for Soi 7/8 and Walking
Street.
The beer is cheap, but I'm a big fan of the cocktails, the Mia
Tia is well recommended.
The Mamasam is a big bird that never smiles, the same as a lot of
the staff.
But on the plus side, if you want cheap drink, and cheap
acceptable food, this is the place to be.
Oh big word of warning, go easy on the Mai Tai, 2 max or you will
be having an early bed and waking up the next morning saying, WHAT
HAPPENED DARLING... So you've been warned...
Review from

Review from

Some of the cheapest drinks in Pattaya and particularly noted as an
afternoon bar. The food is noted as good value also.
The girls were less noteworthy though as comments ranged from 'no
smiles', to 'no go'. But as expected there are a few hansum men who
found otherwise
Review from
Pattaya Addicts, June 2007: Favourite
When just relaxing and not in major hunting mode I like the Sailor
Bar on Soi 8. Cheap drinks all day - beers 40 -45 baht, all other drinks

Review from Pattaya Chat, May 2006:
Sanuck
I've tended to use "We are the World Bar" as somewhere to go with a
girl on the way back to hotel, the live music does make a big
difference and I think that it is that that attracts many.
The beer is also fairly cheap and it's a very laid back and
friendly place; I've had much sanuck with the staff there. You don't
get much hassles for lady drinks either but company is immediately
available if you want it.
Can also get food right outside from the passing Beach Road
travelling caterers and the staff don't mind you eating in the bar,
though it's even better to share some with them
December 2005:
