Bird Cage thankfully did not follow the lead of the movie of the
same name. All 7 of the staff seemed to be the real thing although
one was questionable.
Newly open in April 2011, not much happening as yet. Has seating
for only about 10 punters at bar and two tables. Pool table takes up
most of the floor space. Should consider putting a sofa against the
back wall.
Ladies were friendly (LD 80 baht) if a bit over the hill. Of
course, often with age comes experience but hopefully not boredom.
The two gals playing pool were totally inept so it seems that a
punter could make a few points if he knows his way around a table.
Discreet location could be a plus as soon as they find their
niche. Off road parking in rear. ST room(s) upstairs.

Just before Songkran, the Darkside seemed to be
suffering a slowdown with many ladies returning home for the festival.
The exception was BLACK SHEEP on Soi Khao Noi. There
seemed to be a full complement of ladies and they were working hard to
please the steady stream of customers.
Word must be passing about that this is the place to
be in these pre-Songkran days. A tip of the hat to the ladies there.

Some while ago a sale had been agreed but it dropped through with
courts getting involved. The upshot is that Black Sheep is now back
in the possession of the original Kiwi owner, Paul.
The bar has been completely refurbished and an entirely new staff
has been employed. Business has apparently been brisk since then.
News from John, July 2012: Not Happy
The bar has just changed hands, everything was great till I got
the check bin and they had overcharged me. I pointed this out in a
good way. It took three attempts to get it corrected and I didn't
even hear an apology.
I have been there many times in the past and 4 times this month I
left the usual 20 baht tip, not happy, I sat with two ladies who I
bought two drinks each. I gave them 100 baht tip to share and they
weren't happy either. I will go somewhere else.

Nothing like it use to be. The recent closing of Siam golf club for
renovations has hurt it...but worse is what happened about 3-years ago:
A number of golfers (locals) would stop at the Butterfly for drinks
and a short time after playing a round. Then, they went home to their
Thai wives. One of the wives found out about the Butterfly, via the
'bamboo telegraph' and contacted some of the other wives. They met and
decided that the next time the husbands went golfing at Siam, they would
go to the Butterfly and wait for them to arrive after their game. In
short, the golfers arrived...and...well the shit hit the fan. Word
spread and few golfers in relationships would venture to the Butterfly!

Siam Country Club Golf Course is now closed and some lasses have left
the Butterfly Bar due to lack of business.
The free food afternoon has been changed from Mondays to Tuesdays.

It seems that the Siam Country Golf club is having a little
difficulty recruiting sufficient members and is considering a year off.
This is proving a worrying though for the short time bars on the route
from Pattaya. The Butterfly Bar in particular takes advantage of those

Smoking at Churchill's Club!
The bar is called The Churchill's Club. It is owned by the same group
as The Venus Lounge, Amsterdamaged and a few more I forget the names. It
has been open for about a year now.
This Bar is very nicely decorated and is very comfortable, in
fact it is like sitting in your own lounge. The building looks like
a private house, no problem just walk up to the door and go in.
I have been there quite a few times over the last year and have
always had a good time. The drink prices were last time I was there,
Soft Drinks 50bt, Bottled Beer 80bt. Short Time 350bt and Long Time
500bt for Bar Fine.
The number of girls varies from 3 to about 6 and they know how to
take care of customers.
They do not allow smoking inside but have an area outside where
you can smoke.
Churchill's is located just off Soi Siam Country Club. At the
crossroads to the crocodile farm, Churchill's is 150m in the
opposite direction to the crocodile farm.

Barfine Policy Not Fine
The bar fine is 400 Baht not 250 Baht. If you meet up with your
girl when the bar is closed for 24 hours the aggressive cashier will
still charge you 400 Baht as "she was not in her room". I don't know
if this is common practice but it has put me permanently off the
place.
Getting to the bar up the atrociously maintained Soi
5 will also quickly wreck your vehicle.
Euro food only
available from 6pm onwards . Pizzas are good and all grub can be
taken away. Prices for solids and liquids are reasonable.

The bar has Darts and Pool teams, both of which participate in the
Pattaya leagues. If you are after a quiet game of pool/darts etc. and
want a relaxed (no bar girl scene) friendly atmosphere in which to have
a few beers (its safe to take the missus as well) then it is hard to
beat.

Lucky Find
The Lucky Time Bar is a haven away from the madness of the major
soi's. Owned by a Dutchman named Alex and his wife, they welcomed us and
treated us as friends and not just customers they helped make me and my
friends holiday
This is a family orientated bar frequented by Expats from all over the
world, It is well run and the perfect place to have a relaxed drink with
family or friends. The Bar is well airconditioned and has Pool/Darts and
Table Football to play, the friendly girls are more than happy to thrash
you at the game of your choice.
The food served is fantastic and very well priced as is the beer 60 baht
for an ice cold Singha (miss it already)
The girls are a really friendly bunch and there is no nicer feeling than
to come down in the morning and be greeted by your name
The Apartments are spacious and very well presented and you have both
aircon and a fan all are ensuite with daily cleaning service and towel
exchange and most importantly inexpensive
A previous review stated there were no short time rooms this is really
not that sort of bar. You are more than welcome to take ladies back to
the bar for a drink or to your room
I will definitely be stopping here again next year.

Mango Bar has undergone some tumultuous times.
Back a few months, Mango had a stable crew of hands-on ladies. Over
the past 6 mos or so, there has been a steady turn-over. A large
number of ladies have come and gone (quickly).
I have no inside information, but I tend to think that no one can
work with the current Belgian owner/manager. I’ve seen him berate a
lady in the bar in from of customers. Since he speaks neither
English nor Thai with any proficiency, this was almost a comical
scene.
Whereas subsequent visits in the past would be rewarded with ladies
one knew; now it is a roll of the dice if she will be there on a
repeat visit. In recent days, two of the stalwarts have defected to
a competing Khao Noi bar.
Review from jj, February 2012: Over-ripe?
Returned to Mango for the first time in a while
at about 3pm. Same owner, major staff turn-over. Former costuming
(or lack thereof) no longer in vogue. It seems like another bar in
decline.
Ladies said the bar does OK at night but days
are quiet. As per most owners, when customers decline, prices go up;
not outrageous, but reaching too far for a Darkside bar. Look for it
on the market soon.

Bar
Mango Bar lives up to the comment above. The ladies tend to lack
certain items of clothing and are more than willing to lose even more.
The arrangement of the bar with a series of internal walls allows any
interaction with the ladies to be discrete. Take 2-3 out the back door
to play pool at your peril; they win most of the time, but even losing
can be fun when clothing is constantly being adjusted.
A fun bar with reasonable prices and very friendly ladies; definitely
hands-on.

Its entrance is unpre-possessing but once inside punters must surely
be reminded of a standard Soi 6-like den.
It has added a pool table, but games are free for customers. While
there were only seven or eight ladies working, they were a typically
friendly lot of knob fondlers. Of the four places I visited, Paradise
was easily the busiest in terms of bums on seats.
Soft drinks are just 30 baht and lady drinks good value at only 80
baht. Bottled amber goes off at a mere 50 baht during a 6:00 to 7:00PM
happy hour.

Been hearing from a couple of people that this place is buzzing on
Friday nights. Its not a "proper" girlie bar, but all waitresses are
available for EC activities...
The place is quite large with a decent size bar area and sitting for
60-70 people. At the back there is a large swimming pool with a few more
tables around it. Apparently the attraction on Fridays is the Live music
(A duo composed of a Thai bird and a Seppo Hip-Hop wannabe...Not bad).
Customers can join the singing or have a crack themselves, using the
Kareoke laptop provided. There is also free scran.
All in all - a very good night! Not a problem to come with your TG,
as loads of mixed couples there and not a Girlie bar envoirnment.

Dark Side
Without a doubt the best bar on the Dark Side is Pussy Cat Club.
The bar itself is very tastefully done out in white leather chairs &
booths, as well as some tables & chairs. The surroundings are
fabulous, the bar staff very good and the ladies are excellent.
If you buy a lady drink, the bill shows the normal drink price +
30 baht for the lady.
Customers flock to this bar because of all the good features
mentioned.

way
Owned by a happy going Italian and his luvly wife, who are not shy
throwing drinks at you.
Very large and spacious bar. Pool table and a largish sitting area.
6-8 girls, some quite tasty and 3-4 lady boys, who are performing
dances on the upper balcony. Decent music and mostly busy late.

This is a newer looking bar with some very nice ladies. I spent a
bunch of time here and enjoyed the company. Reasonable prices and
cold beer. If you can handle the ladyboys here (and they stayed
away) this is a nice place to spend some time.

Italian owned bar is a double shophouse. A pool table is available,
seating and decoration is simple but tasteful.
About 6 girls are currently working, some of them eyecandy. Also 2 not
so beautiful katoeys working.
Gin Tonic was 90 Baht, too much for the Dark Side. No short time rooms
available.

Seating is comfortable and cosy in the forefront with a dining room
to the left and a huge bar at the rear where drinkers can sit and watch
the big-screen TV.
The Red Lion has a leisurely opening at 11.00 am when the full range of
the pub’s breakfasts and morning snack foods can be enjoyed. The big
breakfast comes with unlimited tea or coffee and doubles up on
everything, i.e sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, masses of baked beans, all
the works. It costs B.150 for a Fred Flintstone start to the day with a
smaller one for Wilma at B.110.
Lots of traditional English options on the menu including: sausages &
mash, fish ‘n chips, scampi, and home-made fish cakes, chicken tikka
masala. There’s a special kid’s menu evoking childhood memories with
offerings of fish fingers, chicken nuggets or sausages with chips and
beans to please the juniors. The Thai menu is huge presenting 86 dishes.

Restaurant & Pub
Not long after opening, I asked the owner (Adrian) if it was a bar
that served food or a restaurant that served alcohol.
He said he
had aimed for the former but seemed to have achieved the latter.
Food was quite good for a while then a change of cooks and an increase
in prices ran him off my list of restaurants, ie portions and taste not
up to the price.

English type bar. inside and outside dinner areas. Pool table. No
girlies. popular with Brits who live in the Moobans around it. Food

Oct 2009: Just a tin roof
This is a friendly place to get pissed at and free BBQ when something
on . Only a few girls but nice. Just a tin roof on sticks so if it rains
you get wet .

Route 69 on Soi Khao Noi has a sign saying
MEMBERS ONLY. Not exactly sure what that means in Thailand. But
dropped by one evening to find ONE lady working there.
Bought her a drink; ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE!
She sat and talked; never so much as touched me!
The sign outside says TABLE DANCING; sign
inside suggests the same; but NOT AVAILABLE!
THE lady says this is OLD, from before",
"no one do now", but the sign remains!
WORST bar I've ever been to in Pattaya!

decorated
I was pleasantly surprised. Nicely decorated bar which seems to cater
for bikers. A pool table outside, 2 Vespas as decoration inside, a
couple of guitars hanging on the wall. There is food available.
Beer around 65, LD 95 Baht. Unfortunately no ST rooms on the
premises.
Pizza on Wednesdays and buffet on Sundays, free to regulars.

The bar is really nicely done out, not too many girls at the moment
but the ones that were there certainly were not ugly and they were

This bar is owned by the same family as the old Jumbo bar on Soi 11
(now a parking lot).
This is an outside bar and has a free pool table. Heineken was around
70 and lady drinks 90 (or so).
Food is available and the cashew chicken I had was excellent. There
were around 6 ladies available.
A very nice place to spend time and I suspect it relies on the after
golf crowd.

This bar has a new owner and in my opinion he is doing all the
right things with the place time will tell. They have recently added
a pool and a nice little out door area.
Could do with a few more girls and it would be a top place they are
certainly trying

Built on a 2 rai piece of land, this western saloon style bar has a
great music and entertainment system.
Our big garden has a Jacuzzi relaxing area (free Jacuzzi) and 3 new
built rooms with shower and aircon. The garden is full of palms and
banana trees so you have absolutely holiday feeling when you stay with
us.
We have a big hidden parking area. For all bikers we have a big rain
covered bike parking area.
