Lounge and restaurant. Drinks are 120 Baht for bottled
Heineken. 180 Baht was later reported for a bottle of Singha. There was
previously also a Supper Club/The Bed night club that has now closed
From
Pattaya Secrets, Feb 2008: Ice Room
It costs 500 baht to go into the Ice Room (jackets provided) for 25
minutes. During this 25 minutes you can apparently order as many Vodka
shots as you want free of charge.
The Supper Club is an all white room with a sunken bar in the middle
which is encircled by alcoves in which you will find large mattresses to
lay, slouch, sit on. Shoes off of course. In the middle of the mattress
is a small table 6 inches high from which you eat your food. Each
mattress will hold about 6 - 8 people.
The menu is mixed at around 1000 baht for 3 course or 1300 for 4 course.
There is no 'Thai' food as such.
IMO it is a very stylish place that would be best enjoyed with a group
of friends.
...and a few very beautiful service girls
From
Pattaya Secrets, Jan 2008: Electro/Funky
I went to this fantastic bar the weekend. The music, mixed by a live
DJ is really electro/funky and the ambience is truly unique for Pattaya.
It felt very Japanese in as far as you take off your shoes and chill
out on these really comfortable big white sofa’s. The whole room is
bright white but the special design of lighting ensures that the colours
change every few minutes.
A great place to take a special girl, I wouldn’t recommend you go
with your mates. The drinks are pricey, B120++ for a small bottle of
Heineken, but don’t be put off by that, its truly worth a visit.
From -5 Supperclub, Jan 2008: Style Conscious
Enjoy Chef's latest creations, while relaxing on gigantic beds of
pure white with colour changing lights. Mouthwatering fusion food, is
served ‘in bed’, with cool music and style-conscious staff, setting the
mood.
After 10pm the volume is cranked up and the lights down, for the perfect
atmosphere to party the rest of the night away...

3 Angels Bar
Opened in August 2006 replacing DMTs. Reports of fun in the bar.
News from
Pattaya Secrets, August 2006: Angel
Showers
After several weeks of renovations, 3 Angels has reopened on the site
of the now defunct DMT's on Soi 6. from the outside, you wouldn't really
notice anything different. Signs have changed, girls haven't.
Inside the main bar, it still looks pretty much the same. Mirrors with
Xmas lights around them remain. New sofas and wall treatments and the
addition of a big bike on display (presumably the angels in the name are
more to do with motorbikes than celestial singing)
DMT's, like
most Soi 6 bars, had shit rooms, shit beds, shit showers and shit
lighting. Not anymore. The new Dutch owner spent the money where it
counts: In the bedroom. New entrance, new doors, new walls, flooring,
everything. Looks like a proper Western-style budget hotel now.
Gone is the communal shower with the half-working hot water and
obligatory bucket. Now each room has its own shower with good water temp
and pressure. There is inset incandescent lighting and new beds and
mattresses.

Beer bar
Prices October 2011: Bar Fines
Bar fines are 500 Baht. There is an official split that dancers are
500 baht and hostesses are 300 Baht. But it seems that most, if not all,
girls are dancers, even if they don't dance.
Review by Materialsman, Oct 2008: Beautiful Ladies
Now, I haven’t been to The Atlantic Bar for a couple or three years,
since it’s supposed heyday, but I keep in touch with what’s happening on
various Forums, including Thai-Anxiety, and consensus has been that the
Atlantic is in decline, and that the few remaining lookers there believe
they have ‘pussies spun of the finest and purest gold thread’ and hardly
give a punter the time of day.
Well, I have to say on entering the bar, I was pleasantly surprised!
There were probably 25 girls in attendance, and this was around 21:30,
before the ‘superstars’ can be assed to turn up for duty, and there were
some very attractive ladies on view, all resplendent in clingy white
dresses, or other very tight white clothing. I am not sure if they have
a different colour scheme for each night of the week, I will have to go
back and check, but the overall effect on Tuesday was quite dazzling!
We positioned ourselves in seats between the pool tables and the bar
to get a good panoramic view of the lovelies and ordered a couple of
bottled Heinekens, which came at a reasonable 70 baht a bottle
considering the eye candy, we had a drink in Anna Jet in Soi 7 last week
and they charged like a ‘wounded rhinoceros’ for the same libations,
with nothing anywhere near as good to look at pulchritude wise.
Perhaps true to form we weren’t hassled by the beauties, but I am the
sort of guy that is happy to buy lady drinks for any lady I choose to
buy for, but don’t enjoy being pressurised into doing so by unwelcome
attention. We stayed for a couple more and enjoyed the view, so overall
I felt it was still a good place to sit and drink, and feel for sure if
you were a regular enough guy and took a little time to get the know the
stunners, there would be no problem in negotiating ‘extra curricular’
activities with the hostesses. Good service, reasonable prices, and
beautiful ladies, what more could a man ask for?
Notes from Pattaya forums, Dec 2007:
Girls on Top
This must be one of the most talked about bars in Pattaya. Some
people love it and some people hate it.
Clearly the pretty girls are in charge about the selections and the
lucky guy are probably fans of the bar. The unlucky guys then probably
hate it and probably waste a fortune in lady drinks in the hope that
they can get selected by the girls.
Many of the girls have followed manager Patrick to U Too bar a couple
of blocks south on the same road.
Review from Ryan, Dec 2006:
White and Blue Tags
You have two types of ladies working here, the ladies wearing white
tags cannot leave the bar as the are solely to work in the bar, I found
these ladies friendly, as a matter of fact I have made two really good
friends from this type of lady from the Atlantic Bar.
Then you have the ladies with the blue tags, you can barfine these
women. Also the owners Boom and Johan are good hosts and do a lot for
you, it is especially good if you wish to watch a sporting event.
Review from Carl, Nov 2006:
Collecting Lady Drinks
Found a few crackers here nice girls very friendly and accommodating.
After talking to a few girls they told me they do like collecting lady
drinks then they like to disappear near closing time to go dancing down
walking street.
Review from
Pattaya Secrets, May 2006: All at Sea
Most of the girls at Atlantic can't even be bothered to notice you
exist. Once you've got a drink in front of you, you might as well be
invisible at this bar.
It wasn't just me, mind you. One time I
was there, the guy next to me had something like four ladydrinks in
front of him. He was sitting alone. Why? because the girls were too busy
talking to each other on the other side of the bar! I couldn't believe
it. Every now and then one would sidle over, take a sip of her precious
drink, and head back to chat with her friends.
I had thought I
was ignored on my first visit because there was a football match on and
perhaps the girls had been instructed not to chat up customers who were
watching the game.
Not so. The second time around, I was still
ignored, but at least I didn't buy four ladydrinks for non-existent
ladies like the poor sap next to me.

A few changes seem to have occurred in this bar over the last year.
The main one is a stock of new pretty girls. The general atmosphere in
the bar definitely seemed different from all other bars down the street
when I visited it.
The staff are polite and friendly. Drinks are very reasonably priced.
You can go and have your fun nearby with your new "friend" then come

If you want to listen to your favourite song you can be your own DJ

Review July 2008: Bullshit
Lured in by a suitably good looking girl, but then things went
downhill a bit. The girl was a little demure but was friendly enough.
I ordered a lady drink and then noticed that the bin hadn't yet
appeared at my table for my beer. The lady brought back her drink but
still no bin. I asked the girl to bring the bin and had a look. The Thai
whiskey & coke lady drink was a whopping 140 Baht. No wonder they
weren't keen on showing the bill.
I asked the girl and she reckoned that she will only receive 20 Baht
of the 140.
Somehow put me off the business in hand and I went in search of
another bar more deserving of my trade. A bit of a shame as I didn't
find another girl as deserving of my trade.
Review May 2008: Friendly Cows?
Always seems quiet but they seem to have a few pretty girls on hand.
I have always been looked after well in the bar
There is a computerised music system with every track known to man.
They allow a bit of naughty stuff in the bar but they make of a play
of shutting doors and standing guard. Easier just to retire upstairs.
Review April 2007: No Bull
There's no bar theme linking the bar with either Spanish bull
fighting or even the Birmingham shopping centre. No, just a typical
small soi 6 bar complete with the usual 2 person sofas.
My drinking companion reckoned that the bar was Thai owned.
The bar seemed well run and the bar tabs were fair with bottled beer
going for 70-75 Baht (strangely two prices for the same brand of beer
though!)
But as always, merits in this type of bar are down to the hostess of
choice. My selection was eloquent, witty, pretty and suitably enticing
so the bar was therefore a hit.

Review from James, March 2011: Knowing
How to party
I tried several short time bars in Soi 6. Butterfly &
neighbour Superstar, were great fun.
There were a few Cuties ladies in both bars. I preferred Butterfly,
less girls but they're friendly and know how to party and be fun too.
Good sex too of course. I had fun with Som and Leedear,
great bodies! In Superstar, Bee is also really cute. I paid
300+1000 for ST, but figure out after that it could work for 1000 all
inclusive...I did not care really as ladies were great. Bar fine was 700
at first, then become 500 later...
Review from Malcolm, January 2010:
Nicest Room
S.T. 300 for bar, 700 for girl. Nicest S.T. room I have seen. Not en
suite but shower room good also.
Review from jj, July 2006: Fly In
Butterfly Bar is an all too typical Soi 6 ST bar. Nicely appointed in
wood and tile with comfortable sofas and discreet cubicles, it is a
perfect example of mediocrity and the paramount importance of the staff.
The current owner seems to have sunk a fortune into the place, but no
matter how attractive the decor, no matter what the owner's intentions,
the ladies in residence are the key to return business.
The
curtains on the cubicles showed promise of special things to come. False
alarm. Our ladies-of-the-hour were attractive, funny and talkative, but
generally non-responsive, allowing a minimum of grab and tickle. Some
bars have a complete lack of ambience but fun girls. Fun ladies trump
decor any time.
Butterfly reportedly has a staff of 10 but on
this week night only 6 were in evidence. They reportedly are all
non-salaried free-lancers so the "go upstairs" refrain was all too
frequent. There is an unused tiny dance platform immediately inside the
door. We were offered 'a show' for a 1000 - a bit steep when the ST BF
is a mere 300.
Rumor has it that there is a new owner in the
offing. I, for one, would hope that he has a gimmick, a way to break the
Soi 6 pattern. For one thing he should ban the ladies from wearing
jeans. Perhaps even institute a uniform of sorts that better advertises
the available assets. An agreement with the ladies in residence for a
pay-to-play closed-curtain "show" priced somewhat below 1000, would be
one possible way to integrate the available decor to attract customers.
Unless he finds a way to make Butterfly stand out, it will simply remain
a nondescript ST bars in a city full of nondescript ST bars.

Review by Materialsman, Oct 2008:
Hurry Away
I will always take a seat and order a beer no matter what, rather
than turn tail and flee if the bar is full of dragons, first
impressions can be deceiving, and there could be hidden gems just
out of line of sight. However, on this occasion first impressions
were 100% correct, and the bar was staffed with some pretty ordinary
girls.
Now, the reason for picking The Cherry Bar was that it was owned by
one of my all time favourite ex-TQ1 dancers, Khun Tom and her
equally lovely sister, and used to be staffed by a fairly attractive
young crowd of girls, sadly no longer! I don’t know if they sold out
the bar or not, but I realised my error of choice, drank my bottle
as fast as I could, and check binned even though it was my mates
turn to pay, never looked or cared about the prices, just wanted
away in a hurry!
March 2006:

Review from Dave May 2009:
Definitely worth a visit
I was welcomed by the owner (Alan) who was a great source of info
while I was in Pattaya and a hell of a nice guy as well.
There was 4 or 5 girls there ranging 5's to 8's out of 10 and they were
all very friendly.
Great little bar, good pricing on beer with a large selection of some of
the best Malts (prices on the bottles, so no surprises) and the place
seems to come alive at night.
I stayed there and the rooms were very good (Bt500 per night) and
cleaned daily but if you want something more up market, he also rents
out condo's over towards Jomtien). No problems with taking girls from
other bars back.
All in all, definitely worth a visit.
Review June 2008: Drinker's
Pub
The smallish bar has a lot of character, especially for Soi 6. The
owner is clearly passionate about his drinking and his military. The bar
is decorated accordingly and the bar is also stocked with an enormous
selection of drinks. Perhaps from the Scottish connection, I assumed
that the array of bottles would be mostly whiskeys, but there is
actually a wide selection of all drinks.
Most of the seating is focussed at the bar so perhaps there is not so
much opportunity for canoodling. But there are a fair amount of girls on
offer.
My companion for the evening was very attractive and was very good
company. It also made a change that she was a cider drinker rather than
the more usual Thai Whisky or orange juice
Later on the evening the bar became pretty full, with what I assumed
were regulars, as everyone seemed to know everyone.
I can see myself joining them.

Review Sep 2007: Kitsch
I was strangely drawn into visiting the bar on the back of bad
reviews. Sometimes one needs to get a little perspective.
But as it turns out the 'badness' turned out to be more bad taste
than anything. The decor is surely a little 'retro' or maybe just cheap.
The dodgy looking fixtures and fittings maybe emphasised the latter
option.
But none of this proved much of a problem when beset by a team of
girls intent on getting up close and personable. They weren't really
quite top notch but they ensured that the stay was pleasurable enough.

On the first floor so we have four new rooms: the black, red, orange and yellow
for your mood. The rooms have dimmers, a black light lamps, and white light in
ceiling for most voyeurs. The decoration is made of sexy photos of girls and,
for relaxation, trees and flowers adorn the rooms finely colored, a touch of
country. The rooms red and black are huge, the other two smaller.
On the second floor from late June 2010 will be four other rooms in the same
spirit, which will be rented on a daily, weekly or monthly rates. And a metal
staircase was installed at the rear of the building against the wall for fire
safety.
The bar has also been completely redecorated and extended. There are large
individual seats, sofas and new air conditioning, electricity, etc. There is
also a special private playroom where the customer can be alone (or with
friends) with one or two or more girls on comfortable sofas to relax completely
in his own way during the time that suits him
So in the Full Moon Bar, everything is now above local standards. From the staff
side, there are 17 girls and a few other freelancers, young and sexy to satisfy
the desires of customers from 10 am to 1 am.
I talk at length about my bar as I'm proud, because it finally became beautiful,
clean, safe, efficient and facilitated by a young but experienced and effective
girls that I trained myself.

Short time bar. One room has a private shower, the other not. Beer 70
Baht, lady drinks 120 Baht.
Review Sept 2007: Well
Looked After
A pretty small bar with the usual girls and sofas. The bar features a
friendly host and mamasang who works hard to ensure that the customers
are well looked after.
There's a ensuite shower in at least one of the upstairs rooms.
From the
Yellow Board, February 2006: Get
Acquainted
There were about 10 girls waiting on a chance to entertain. There are
comfortable sofas inside to help one get acquainted.
At the beach end of the street is the Halifax bar. They always had a
bunch of girls out front and a few always called out to me. I went in
with a kind of chubby girl with a great smile and attitude.
I had a good time and can recommend this bar. (Decent rooms by the way).

From
Pattaya City News, Oct 2006: Blazing
Hollywood Entrance
In May of 2004 a fire engulfed the entrance of Hollywood Discotheque
located in South Pattaya. A problem with the exterior lighting was
blamed for the fire which luckily resulted in no deaths or major
injures.
In October 2006 it happened again as the entire entrance to the club
was engulfed in flames. The fire occurred at around as staff were
arriving for work. There were no customers inside the club and once
again, no injuries or deaths were reported.
Firefighters were quickly on scene and once again found it difficult
to gain access to the fire because of the location of the club and the
narrowness of the access roads. Eventually the fire was brought under
control and the damage was accessed and the cause of the fire was put
down to an electric short circuit.

Jack
Tar Beer Bar
Beer bar with food
Review from Dave, May 2009:
Well Positioned
Good well priced food at this bar and very well positioned for
checking out the talent at other bars as well as getting recon from
the expats and regulars that drink there.
Also a good bar to go to if you want to see any sporting events.
Good place to chill out if you aren't in the mood for a bar girl.
Review from Swanks, August 2006:
Tarred with a New Brush
The lightning struck tower of change has hit the Jack Tar big
time! The place is still inhabited by the same bawdy and good
natured ex-pat crowd with the odd tourist who thinks he has slipped
in unnoticed, but gone are the poisonous grim meanies and especially
the chief viper from the kitchen.
Not only was my visit well worth it for the food, but I got a
beaming smile , very friendly, very welcoming and attentive service
from some quite charming waiting and bar staff. Nothing seemed too
much trouble for them!
I thought I'd gone in the wrong bar by
mistake! Well worth a visit now! Don't forget its not a late night
place though, more for an afternoon of spirited debate , if you take
my drift!
Review from Swanks, April 2006:
Service with a Scowl
This always was a "Beer n Sport" bar and was previously very
welcoming.
Since the ousting of Scrumpy George by the bar girl mafia there,
it really has been the tail wagging the dog! George's management
style might have been a bit "Faulty Towers" ,but he managed to keep
a lid on what started as a bad attitude in the kitchen, and then
spread to the rest of the staff like clap at Loy Krathong. Now it
really has took hold and even the new Thai manager seem to have
mastered the lip curl (as used on social inferiors by Thais) . This
is issued on every possible occasion now and usually is accompanied
by "Knowing looks" between staff members. This attitude problem has
been mentioned to me by several of the former customers without my
saying anything first so it cant be just my imagination.
Beer still cheep and the food is possibly the best, for the
price, in Pattaya. Just don't expect service with a smile.

Restaurant and Irish pub without hostesses
Review from Ian, November 2011: Reserved
I have been in this bar twice.
The first time I went there was reserved signs on the bar and
tables beside the bar where no one was sitting. I bought a drink and
was told by the bar staff I would need to leave the bar area as the
seats were all reserved. I said I would sit at the bar and move when
the people who reserved the seats arrived. I was told this was not
allowed and had to sit myself away from the bar area. Drank my drink
and said I would not be back.
Went again last night about a year after the first time to see if
things have changed.
What do you think? Exactly the same. Again the staff informed me
I could not sit at the reserved seats even though no one was sitting
at them.
Will not be back again.
Review from Pattaya Chat, March 2005: Good Track Record
Very nicely fitted out but like has already been said it is in
the middle of nowhere but that can be a good thing if you want a
quiet drink with a few friends away from the madness and there is
plenty of space for parking in the pub car park. The couple of times
I've been in the place it was pretty empty which is a shame really
as it could be a good boozer if it can get enough custom.
The
manager used to own Jools in Bkk about 10 years ago and also the TQ2
as well as managing Delaneys/Shenanigans and is a nice guy.
Great weekend carvery and wonderful staff. 50 Baht for a coke, 30
Baht for water
Review from Pattaya Chat, March 2005: Pea and Sham Soup!
Was one of the Manager's first customers when he had Jools in
Bangkok where portions were super-size, especially the Pea and Ham
soup. Therefore when I tried Jamesons a while back for lunch and saw
the aforementioned soup on the menu I decided that past experience
would prevail. Ordered Pea and Ham Soup and Roast Beef sandwich.
Soup arrived, a smattering of green sludge was deposited on the
bottom of the bowl. indeed not enough liquid to drown the proverbial
fly! The sandwich arrived, two miniscule pieces of bread buried
under a mass of rabbit fodder, specifically requested NOT to be
supplied! Somewhere there were two tiny slivers of meat, and I do
mean tiny!
The manager was called for who just laughed in my
face as I explained politely my dissatisfaction. Needless to say
never been back.

Comment September 2010: Low Key
The bar seems to be pretty low key these days with little signs of
the traditional naughtiness and not many girls. Bottled beer 85 Baht.
News from
Pattaya Secrets, Oct 2007: Short Short

Review from
Pattaya Addicts, Sep 2007: Sold
Fans of the old style, "anything goes in the bar", may be somewhat
disappointed.
King Kong has a new owner, a German with local wife. Fun in the bar
is now said to be off the menu.
The price of a beer has increased from the standard 60 baht to 75
baht.
News Feb 2007: For Sale
The bar seems to be operating at a low ebb with few girls outside
and reports of the bar being closed some days. There is a prominent
'for sale' sign
Review from
Pattaya Secrets, April 2006: No
Techno Boombox
Sadly, King Kong seems to be on the downside. The last 3 or 4
times I've been in it has been dead. Not many punters and listless
girls. It may be just part of the life cycle of bars.
If you
go, I think after 10:30 would be best as the girls get up to antics
in search of baht as the clock ticks toward closing time.
Music is still a good mix of blues, r&b, bluegrass and alt. country,
no techno boombox shit.
Still worth a visit though to a
Pattaya landmark of sleaze.
November 2005: Eating at
the Bar
It seems to have become something of an eatery with girls sitting
on the bar as the main course.
Slightly too much emphasis on 'going upstairs' to count as
particularly friendly
October 2005: Pattaya
Office
King Kong is my Pattaya office. It is a short time bar with 2
rooms upstairs. The shower is in the hallway. The bar also uses
rooms in the hotel next door and these have showers in the room.
200 Baht for the room and 500 Baht for the girl (1 hour). Girls
also available Long Time for 300 Baht barfine and 1000 Baht for the
girl.
Small interior with impressively low-rent decor and
very good music eg. George Thorogood, R&B, bluegrass, country rock.
NO technocrap or disco shit.
Friendly atmosphere, go after
10pm when it gets lively.

Review May 2009: Good Start
The bar opened with enthusiasm with pretty girls and cheap drinks.
Originally the bar had a glass front so as to show off 2 coyote
dancing girls. The open front rarely works well when privacy for short
time interviews is preferred for most of the regulars to the soi. So,
following rapidly in the footstep of other bars who have tried the open
front approach, the curtains soon appeared.
Review from
Pattaya-Live
April 2009: Cheapish drinks
The girls do look stunning in there uniforms which are different
every day.
The expected high prices and bad attitude was completely wrong though
and the old trick of putting the '10' on full time door duty didn't
happen ether .
1000 BT for ST including room and cheapish drinks will certainly have
my hard earned dosh a new home on a regular basis. The reason I say this
is because the place was worth it! It was spotless, smelled nice and had
been completely renovated upstairs to a very high standard.
Time will tell, but I suspect the new owner knows her stuff and has
seen the way to survival and success in Pattaya.

The live music starts after nine o'clock and the band was pretty
good. Supposedly they were from the Philippines.
The food was good. I had an appetizer sampler tray. I wanted to
finish it but couldn't. My lady had som tam and some nibbles off my
tray. She liked her food and mine as well.
Review from Pattaya Chat, June 2006:
Wheat Beer
If your looking for a place to find girls then look elsewhere but I
enjoyed it in there, there is a fairly good Filipino band and It gets
quite busy from about 10pm, they serve Erdinger lager and wheat beer
both draught and bottles, the bottles of wheat beer go down a dream but
are expensive at 195bht for 500ml.
I'd recommend it as a place to
take your girl if your looking to get away from the sleaze for a few
hours, I took my girl friend's family in there and they were really
impressed and enjoyed it, you get a lot of Germans getting up on the
dance floor and so there's plenty to laugh at.
October 2005:
Nicely decorated. Very quiet on a Monday night but this was
attributed to it being the night off for the house band. The replacement
band were not really capturing much interest.
Drinks are expensive and are in the rang 100-150 Baht.
Personally I will stick to the more lively music bars of Walking
Street.

January 2006:
No Thanks
I Visited the Belgian owned My Friend You Bar. As previously
mentioned, it takes your eyes 20 minutes or so to get used to the total
blackout.
ST room and shower worse than YMCA doss and the rooms
are on the 3rd. floor - oldies need mountaineering gear.
Do not let your wallet out of your sight- take it with you in the
shower. 800 Baht pays for room + lady. Pay the bar 300 Baht first and
500 Baht the lady after.
Mainly middle-aged female choice + 1 ladyboy.
This is a "no
thanks" bar for me.
December 2005: Lucrative
There are 3 bays each with 3 small sofas. The ambient lighting is
unsurprisingly near darkness. There is no time for small talk here. The
girls like to get straight to work on their job.
I think the impatience in getting on with the job is based on the
steady stream of customers. All the sofas were taken on my visit, and at
800 baht a blow, it must be one of the most lucrative bars in Pattaya

April 2004:
A great spot for an afternoon beer. The girls were friendly and there
were lots of them. Some real lookers. The mamasan is named Vi as is a
real charmer although she wants to many drinks. I had a great time there
and found a couple of very charming ladies. It seems to me the drinks
were a little pricy-100B lady drink but other than that I received great
service. The big dude who sits outside and watches the front door is
actually one the owners and if take the time to talk to him you will be
very impressed.

News from Nightwish Bar, March 2012: Renovated
Anyone who visited the Nightwish in 2011 or before will not recognise
it from the run down bar of old"
- All new outdoor bar area with seating to watch enjoy a beer, and
watch the sights of Soi 6.
- All new indoor bar, air-conditioned with new seating.
- Very Nice and clean downstairs toilet. (they are not all this
nice on soi 6)
- Flat screen TV's with True Vision to watch Football, F1 in both
bars.
- New sound system, but not too loud so you can at least
talk to the ladies.
- Fully stocked beer fridge and a good selection of spirits.
- 4 good sized bedrooms to visit for an hour or so (you know what
I mean).
- ALL 4 have private toilets and showers, air-conditioning, clean
sheets and towels, mirrors etc.
Nearly all the staff are ex. Rubys 1 and 2 , so they know how to take
care of customers upstairs and downstairs.
Review Oct 2008: Wishing for a
Little Better
Small bar perhaps in need of a little refreshment.
The seating is not particularly well laid out for short time
interviews. There is just one large sofa and the rest, stools at the bar
or around small tables.
I chatted with a friendly girl but she was not the slightest bit
hands on.
The drinks were reasonable at 70 Baht for a bottled beer and 100 Baht
for a lady drink.
Seems a straightforward, decent bar but not really well laid out for
the Soi 6 purpose.
Review from
Pattaya-Addicts, Sept 2008: Hassle
Free
Nightwish is a nice little bar in that its welcoming and hassle free.
Girls seem to come and go frequently probably due to the fact that see
more action going on in places like Red Point close by. The cashier is
hot too and open to offers.
For me its better to sit and drink and watch the world go by as its a
lot less in your face than other bars but more fun than Jack Tar over
the road which is girl free.

Review Sep 2007: Run Down
To put it bluntly, Pat Bar is a little run down. The dilapidated
sofas were held together with a stretch cover that had seen better days.
These perhaps contributed to the less than fresh odour that permeated
the bar.
The bar staff were friendly and no doubt the girls would have proved
equally friendly had we not shooed them away for not quite living up to
our high expectations.
I was dreading a visit to the loos made out of necessity, but there
was no need to worry as they were perfectly acceptable.
I have read a few reports that the girls in the bar can get quite
naughty but somehow I didn't feel inclined to linger to find out.

Review July 2008: Well Hot
The first thing to strike is that the narrow bar has a single bench
seat running down the left hand side of the bar. The bar itself runs
down the right hand side and it almost seems that the two halves of the
bar are watching each other.
Not really a good layout for a short time bar where sofas offer a
little better feeling of privacy and intimacy.
Perhaps this bar is a bit more of a drinking bar than the Soi 6 norm.
However a short visit was as much as I could take, as my selected girl
was overly demure and the aircon was overly ineffective.
Seemed a perfectly good bar otherwise with beer at 75 Baht and lady
drinks at 100 Baht. The Room fee (no barfine required is 300 Baht)
I was also entertained by the work of a plastic surgeon, clearly
inspired by the surreal exaggeration of Picasso when creating his breast
art.
Review:
I have been on a holiday to this super place. I had so much fun there
with the Dutch owner Martijn. He is a party animal by birthright.
When you enter the place you will be amazed by the interior and
friendly girl there. REALLY friendly if you mean my drift. It really
looks great and regular party's are held to entertain everyone with
anything.
Next years holiday I know where friends can come to to
meat me because I will be there as long as my budget will allow to. With
these prices you can stay for quite a while.

Pattaya Secrets, July 2006: Humming
I've only been here once. I had read on some forum that it had the
prettiest girls, and I think that proved to be true. I went upstairs,
and it was indeed shabby. No shower in the room, either, which I guess
is standard for soi 6 but I really don't want do deal with that anymore.
And maybe I am the only one who cares about such things, but these
short-time rooms gross me out. They do not change the bedding in these
places all day (if not all week), even though dozens of women get
pounded into the mattress every day. The best you can hope for is a new
large towel on top of the bed. No thanks.
I do not like the
places where you get the hummer while sitting at the bar -- not
comfortable enough for me. I like the couch hummer, where I can really
stretch back and enjoy myself. Any suggestions for other bars with
excellent couch hummers? That did not seem to be an option at Red Point
during my only visit. I did see a partially hidden alcove on the far
back right of the bar that might have some promise.
Review from
Pattaya Pages, June 2006: Hold Out
for the Best
I have always liked the Red Point the best. On the north side of Soi
6, 50 yards or so from Beach Road. Big red dot on the sign.
The
mamasan trains her girls well. They don't bother you for drinks. Usually
very good BBBJ, rim, etc. A few 3-holers. Rooms upstairs are decent.
When you walk up there are usually girls sitting out front on the
street. If you do not see one you like just go inside and sit down on
one of the sofas. If you do not like the first girls who sits with you,
just hold out. Mamasan will eventually throw one of her best looking
ones at you.

Saigon Girl is owned by Terry and Nung previously of T.G. bar. He
and his wife are great hosts and make all patrons welcome. He is
also a keen biker who will always talk about his passion. I have
known Terry for several years and he is a constant information
source on what is happening in pattaya.
Review by Materialsman, Oct 2008:
Little Red Hats
Before ‘stumps up’ decided that one more beer wouldn’t go amiss, so
we stumbled off to the Saigon Girl bar in Soi 6. I have a hazy
recollection of being in this bar last Thursday, and remember being
captivated by the red uniforms and little red hats all the girls
were wearing, and so it was!
The bar has a sort of confused Saigon theme, posters of The Deer
Hunter, and a mural of the poster of the sunset from Apocalypse Now
on one wall, as well as many posters of various big hairy
motorcycles, perhaps the owner is some sort of grizzled Harley
Davidson riding Vietnam Vet?
The girls are not the prettiest in the Soi, but they make up for
that with their rare enthusiasm for their work, and the uniform
works for me, you probably think I am some kind of uniform obsessed
pervert right? Probably 100% spot on! So, two drinks later, and a
couple of lady drinks nestled in the bins, it was time for me to
mosey on home, but as I stand up and take one last look around
before diving through the curtain, I see my drinking buddy on a sofa
with two cuddly girls, one either side of him, massaging his
privates for all they are worth, dressed in those pretty red
uniforms, and still wearing the hats, a lovely memory, a Kodak
moment indeed, ain’t life in Pattaya grand!
Review Oct 2007:
Apocalypse Now
The opening night was well attended with plenty of food laid on to
keep an army of bikers well fed.
In anticipation of a good turnout the owners had closed down their
Route 69 bar for the evening and reposted the girls for duties in Saigon
Girl.
The war theme of the bar is surely unique in Pattaya. The walls are
decorated by pictures of the Vietnam War. Partitions around the bar are
made from "Explosives" canisters. There's even a NAAFI seemingly located
in the loos. The girls were wearing military styled skirts and blouses
but somewhat skimpier than female troopers may wear. The peace badge
seemed slightly out of place though. A couple of jeeps were parked
outside the bar for extra effect.
Presumably Rest & Recreation is the purpose of the bar but the bar
layout seems a bit of a disaster for this purpose.
There are comfortable seats but these arranged facing the bar almost
like as if to provide a show for the people sitting at the bar. There's
not a shred of privacy and when a girl was taking good personal care of
me, I somehow saw the entire bar as an auditorium with me and my girl
being the performers.
There are a couple of dance poles on podiums but the bar isn't going
into the gogo business.

Another bar from the team that designed the newly opened Smoke &

Again the theme is an outside sitting area with bar and an inside
aircon area also with a bar.
This bar is a little narrower than Mirrors and this reflects in a
bench seat down one side. This time the inside bar is an extension of
the outside bar and this saves a fair bit of space. There is a little
more seating at the back of the bar and a dancing pole at the front. It
is attractive and stylish but the open layout doesn't offer much in the
way of privacy for short time interviews.
The drinks prices were very reasonable at 80 Baht for a my beer and

Review May 2009: Typical
To be fair I normally would have walked on by due to the girls on
show, but being inquisitive I said hello to a girl and walked in.
It turns out to be a perfectly typical Soi 6 bar with sofas set out
cross ways down the bar. It is perhaps smaller than most because they
have made a bit of space out front for those that would like to have a
cigarette outside.
Unfortunately my drinking partner was a hardened Soi 6 lady who simply
was not interested in pleasantries nor an enticing interview. So things
didn't pan out.
A bottle of beer is set at around the 75 Baht mark.
A bit of a naff visit, but there was nothing to suggest things wouldn't

How to party
I tried several short time bars in Soi 6. Butterfly and
neighbour Superstar, were great fun.
Review by Stephan, Oct 2009: Fair
Prices
I never had a problem with the bin at this bar. But it's true they
not always put it on the table. As I'm a regular customer I don't
care. My girl takes care I always receive a correct tab. Have also
to mention that prices in this bar are fair.
They allow smoking in the bar (the owner himself does), which can
be quite annoying for non-smokers.
Review, Nov 2008: Bin Keeping
The bar is still operating without providing bin chits. Even on
asking they had to be written out, just kept by memory before. Not a
place to get drunk and lose track of the tab.
Can't comment of the rest, my girl was shagged out and just wanted
to sleep.
Review, October 2006: Check the Bin
A bit of a warning sign when your bin is kept at the bar instead of
being sent to your table. And sure enough on checking...a mythical drink
had been added.
The girls launch straight into premium price ladydrinks without
asking permission too.
Pretty ladies though, so one can get easily distracted...
Review, June 2006: Discrete
Sign
Unassuming bar that I hadn't spotted before. As one speeds past it
seems to be part of the Butterfly Bar but there is a separate sign if
you look.
The girls were a mixed bunch with some looking attractive in their
white blouses and tartan skirts.
The bar is pretty standard inside with drinks, sofas and music videos
on TV. Well distracted by an old friend so didn't spend much time
examining the decor. There was a fair amount of toing and froing in the
bar but not actually much coming and going.
There were a couple of tense moments in the bar as one of the girls
seemed a little argumentative after a few too many drinks.

Short time in house 1000bt. (300bt Barfine 200bt Room & 500bt for
the girl). Takeaway Barfine 300bt, 500bt Short Time, 1000bt
Longtime.
Drink prices same as Soi 6.
All in all a reasonable bar.

Review Oct 2007: Bins on the Bar
The bar operates the policy of keeping the bins on the bar rather
than in front of the customer. It always seems that the bar has
something to hide when they do this, and in this case they were hiding
the fact that lady drinks cost a very expensive 125 Baht. (Bottled beer
was 65)
Review from
Pattaya Secrets, Aug 2007: Not Nice
Bar is small and the short time rooms are not that nice. 300 Baht for
the room and 700 Baht for the girl.

Review Nov 2008: Duff Interview
Technique
I have stopped by an couple of times and not been impressed. I
have just been unlucky but the girls made no attempt to provide any sort
of interview, just knew 2 phrases: buy drink, go room

Review by Tim, Oct 2006:
Brit Style
Nice place.. food typical Brit style.. beer a bit pricy for there
but oh well a few guys sitting around and drinking beer.. clean..
nice people.. friendly.. food OK.. had dinner.. so do not know about
the Breakfasts.. but good quality and quantity.
Review from Pattaya Chat, June 2006:
Well Run Gaff
Been in there a couple of times, seems like a well run gaff and the
kao pad gai I had was certainly very nice.
Was in there last
night having a few beers with a couple of friends and the owner and
felt quite at home, they have San Miguel light which I've never had
before but seemed like a decent enough drop of booze and certainly
set me on the way. Also have draught Bass.
There is ample
parking behind the complex, just turn off 2nd Road and drive
straight though past Tropical berts on your right and you'll se the
car park.
Thanks to John &
Stickman, February 2006:
The bar is bigger, has 4 TVs, high speed internet for customers and
the food is even better than before with the acquisition of a new chef,
Josh ex Shenanigans and Queen Vic. The beer is cheaper than most beer
bars. A good place to chill out away from the chaos that is much of
Pattaya.
